So, after putting some thought into it, I’ve decided that I’m going to start a Substack. “Why?” You ask? Three main reasons.
To get an e-mail list going. This is one of the primary and most effective marketing techniques for indie authors like myself, and I haven’t had one yet. Substack will help to get that started.
To give a free option to read some of my writing. My intention right now is to post serial stories here once a week. That way people can read some of my stuff and not have to pay for it.
To give people another option to financially support me. I plan to eventually set up paid subscriptions here, which I will use to distribute my stories. At the moment, the plan is to do my short stories here. We’ll see if I do more eventually
We’ll see how this ends up going. If nothing else, I’m looking forward to sharing more of my writing with more people. If you’re interested, please subscribe!
